[ OVERVIEW ]
What is OASA?
OASA is a network of regenerative villages where land is held as perpetual commons and tokenized access rights fund ecological restoration across Europe.
Who joins OASA?
OASA attracts land stewards, remote workers, creatives, systems thinkers, families, and nature lovers who want to live and work inside a functioning regenerative ecosystem. Members range from short-stay visitors and two-week volunteers to long-term citizens who hold governance rights and help shape the community's future.
[ HISTORY ]
OASA was founded in 2021 to build a replicable model for transitioning land out of extractive ownership into perpetual community stewardship. The framework - combining token-based land access, ecological restoration targets, and consent-based governance - grew directly from the experience of building Traditional Dream Factory (TDF) in the Alentejo region of Portugal.
TDF is the first OASA village: 25 hectares of former farmland transformed over seven years into a regenerative ecosystem. Founder Samuel Delesque led the project, which has since attracted 60+ active citizens, 280+ token holders, and coverage in more than 80 publications across Europe and Web3 media.
In 2025, OASA published its formal Constitution, codifying seven regenerative principles - Soil, Water, Air, Waste, Rewilding, Resources, and Community - as the shared standard for all network projects. The Swiss non-profit structure enables OASA to replicate the TDF model globally, with each new village held through a Special Purpose Vehicle trust.
[ LOCATION ]
OASA's first village, Traditional Dream Factory, occupies 25 hectares of restored land in Alentejo, Portugal - a rural region known for its biodiversity, cork-oak forests, and mild climate. The land divides into three zones: 50% protected wild core, 45% productive agroforestry, and under 5% built infrastructure. Seven years of restoration have recharged the wells and brought back native bird species.
The OASA legal entity is registered as a non-profit association under Swiss law in Zug, Switzerland. Infrastructure at TDF is under active construction, with the co-living build targeting operational status by mid-2027 and the full co-housing development (23 homes) to follow.
[ DURATION ]
Stays at OASA's Traditional Dream Factory start at a minimum of 5 days and can extend up to 180 days per year. Volunteer stays require a minimum two-week commitment, with programs starting on Sundays - a one-month stay is recommended for anyone who wants to settle in properly.
Citizens - those holding 30 or more $TDF tokens - must maintain at least two weeks of on-site presence per year to keep active status. Bookings open up to one year in advance via the TDF booking portal.
[ PRICING ]
OASA uses a token-based access model. Each $TDF token grants one night of accommodation per year at Traditional Dream Factory. Different room types draw different token amounts: van and tent pitches start at 0.5 tokens per night, while private houses run up to 5 tokens per night, with utility fees added on top. Tokens are purchased via cryptocurrency (cEUR) or bank transfer at traditionaldreamfactory.com/token.
Volunteers stay free of charge - shared dormitory accommodation is provided in exchange for four hours of work per day, five days a week. Three home-cooked vegetarian meals per day are included for volunteers, covering vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets.
Citizenship financing (30-120 tokens over 36 months) starts from a 10% downpayment, with monthly payments from the financing plan negotiated with the team.
[ AMENITIES ]
[ NS LONGTERMER ]
OASA citizenship is the long-stay tier, open to members who hold 30 or more $TDF tokens. Citizens can stay up to 180 days per year and book up to a year in advance, with priority access to events and future co-housing units. The citizenship process has five steps: completing cultural onboarding, spending 14 days on-site, holding 30+ tokens, receiving three vouches from existing members, and signing a citizen agreement. Token financing is available - a 10% downpayment secures the commitment, with the balance spread over 36 months. Active status requires a minimum two-week visit per year. Citizens participate in governance votes and DAO proposals, and earn Sweat Tokens for work contributions that can reduce living costs over time.
[ HOW TO ENTER ]
Applications are submitted Apply to Stay. New visitors can start with a volunteer placement or a direct booking. Volunteers email space@traditionaldreamfactory.com to find available start dates (always Sundays) and schedule an intro call. The team recommends reading TDF's community culture documents - the Pink Paper and Visitor's Guide - before applying.
For a paid stay, use the TDF booking portal to select dates (minimum 5 days). Citizenship - which unlocks stays up to 180 days per year and full governance rights - requires 14 days on-site, 30+ $TDF tokens, and three community vouches.
